Orthopedic injuries or rehabilitation after surgery

Injured and unsure what to do? There is so much incorrect information out there online. Get the advice of an experienced PT to assist you in recovering as quickly as possible. 

Knee Pain and Injuries

Arthritis, ligament or cartilage tears, patellar tendonitis, rehab after knee arthroscopy or total knee replacement. 

Neck Pain or Back Pain

Using concepts of mechanical diagnosis and treatment, or the McKenzie Method, we can assess whether your neck or back pain responds to certain movements and exercise that can help you recover.

Shoulder Pain and Injuries

Shoulder impingement, rotator cuff injuries or PT after rotator cuff repair, shoulder replacement, arthritis, or bursitis.

Hip Pain

Hip bursitis, tendonitis, impingement, arthritis, or rehab after hip surgery.  

Parkinson's Disease

Dr. Brown is certified in the Lee Silverman Voice Training BIG (LSVT BIG) method of treating individuals with Parkinson's Disease (PD) at all levels of the disorder.   LSVT BIG has been shown in multiple research studies to help individuals with PD significantly improve their strength, balance, and walking pattern. 

Cancer Rehabilitation

Exercise prescription during and after cancer treatment can help you maintain strength, endurance, and function. Dr. Brown also has experience in working with patients after mastectomy to regain their shoulder movement and strength.  

Vestibular Rehabilitation

For those with vertigo or dizziness, you know how life altering those symptoms can be. Dr. Brown has had extensive training in treating individuals with vertigo and also assists in teaching this topic at Western Michigan University Doctor of Physical Therapy program. 

Concussion Rehabilitation

Managing symptoms and progression of activity after a concussion is a struggle for many patients and their families. Should you rest or push through symptoms? When is it a good idea to go back to school or work? Wondering how to regain activity tolerance and strength and return to sport specific activity? We can help with all these questions and give you the advice you need.
